The touch screen is a vast improvement over my previous Lowrance. The 7” unit is a perfect size for my X3.
I have had Zero issues with the internal antenna. Once you spend a few minutes and scroll through the pages & remove functions for marine use it’s a easy unit to use.
3 things to take into consideration.
1- You need to purchase a map card to suite your needs. The internal map has limited information.
2- When installing into the extremely well built dash mount for the X3 you ONLY need to remove the 4 corner pieces/bezel unlike the previous models that required you to remove the whole faceplate.
3- Mount the Elite into the bracket, connect your power cable & the external antenna cable if you are using one.
Then position the unit so the rear facing cables just clear the vertical left & right parts of the dash and now mark the four mounting holes.
Using this in a Can Am X3. There’s a learning curve, but so far I’m impressed with the Lowrance. You can increase the size of the text. Plenty of tips online. Made my own routes on Google Earth, converted to .gpx, and uploaded/synced with the unit.
Nice unit, huge upgrade from my Baja Elite 5
ELITE-7 TI 2 TOUCH SCREEN Is easy to install and use. PCI had the best price coupled with their great service.
