Affordable entry level handheld radio ideal for traveling out of cell range, backing up vehicles or handing to the new kid without losing sleep if it isn't returned. An upgrade from the UV-5R, the UV-82c has a louder 1 watt speaker, an upgraded solid case with larger buttons, a new chipset, and a new PCB board that outperforms range, accuracy and output of the previous Baofeng chipsets. 

To keep costs low, these are pre-programmed. If you need additional channels added, there will be a $25 programming charge. ($25 for the first radio, $10 for each additional radio of the same model)
